DAVID W. SACKMAN

David W. Sackman was born and raised in Commack, L.I., N.Y. He attended St. Anthony's High School in South Huntingtion NY and received a Congressional Nomination and a lacrosse scholarship to the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point. David received a B.S. in Marine Transportation with a Minor in Marine Operations and a Federal License as a Third Mate from SUNY Maritime College in 1991. After a successful career as a merchant mariner working on oil tankers and tug boats David decided to come ashore and attend law school.

He has a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from The Dwayne O. Andreas Law School at Barry University in Orlando, Florida and has represented Insurance Companies in Worker's Compensation Trail law for the past 5 years. David has first hand knowledge of worker's compensation insurance companies and how they value a worker's compensation claim. His insight and experience with worker's compensation claims from the date of the accident through trial makes him a valuable asset to any injured worker seeking medical and indemnity benefits.

David currently lives in Seminole County with his wife and two children. In his spare time he enjoys boating with his family, golf, coaching YMCA basketball, cooking and officiating High School and College lacrosse in Florida. He is the US Lacrosse Referee's Clinician for North and Central Florida and has assisted the FHSAA in creating and writing the examination given to prospective High School Lacrosse Officials annually. He has been an NCAA Certified lacrosse Official for the past ten years.
